ArticleOrbit is designed with your privacy as a top priority. This policy outlines how your data is handled within the application.
All data you enter into ArticleOrbit (including submission details, notes, dates, tags, and file attachments) is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. Your information does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to use features that involve data export.
ArticleOrbit provides features to share or export your data:
ArticleOrbit does not automatically share your data with any third parties or external servers.
ArticleOrbit does not collect any personal analytics or usage data. All calculations for the Analytics Dashboard and Waiting-Times Panel are performed locally on your device based on the data you have entered.
When you link file attachments to submissions, ArticleOrbit uses macOS's secure, sandboxed bookmark system. The app only stores a reference (bookmark) to the file's location, not the file content itself. Accessing the file requires your explicit permission via the standard macOS file access mechanisms.
ArticleOrbit does not communicate with any external servers owned or operated by us for storing or processing your submission data. All core functionality operates entirely offline on your device.
